Food Sourcing

Updated: Sep 16, 2019

A Directory of My Favorite Food Resources

If you're new to this way of eating, it may sometimes be difficult to find your way. I've explained before why sourcing natural, organic, pastured, and toxin-free ingredients is so important. In order to make your to-do list smaller, I have compiled a special list for cooking, meal delivery services, and on the go snacks!

Find local, fresh and seasonal in your area.

LOCAL FARMS/PASTURED/ORGANIC/GRASS FED Meats, Poultry & Seafood

  • Pick your own Farms: a resource to help find U-pick farms in your area.

  • Eat Wild: This is a website that contains links and resources for people to find local farms. It is the first place to look if you are interested in buying meat directly from a farmer in your area.

  • Vital Choice Seafood – Vital Choice is a trusted source for home delivery of the world’s finest wild seafood and organic fare, harvested from healthy, well-managed wild fisheries and farms. *I HATED seafood of any kind however knowing the health benefits forced my hand and I have really started to enjoy their halibut, salmon, cod, tuna and they have amazing wild blueberries!

  • Butcher Box – A monthly membership service that delivers your chosen quantities of high-quality, responsibly-sourced chicken, beef, and/or pork to your door — for free!

  • Pete's Paleo – Chef prepared meals • Seasonal & Organic ingredients • Delivered fresh. *I really like their bone broth!

  • Crowd Cow – A beef sourcing company that lets you buy a cow share with friends and have the meat delivered to your door.

  • Tropical Traditions – known for their virgin coconut oil with some of the highest sourcing standards around. All products are non-GMO, organic, pasture-raised, soy-free, and more.

  • Daily Harvest -- These guys partner with farmers who don't settle for anything less than the sweetest, heartiest, most nourishing fruits and vegetables. Then we freeze everything within hours of harvest to lock in the nourishing goodness of peak season ripeness. *There are several that are AIP friendly: Apple + Greens, Banana + Greens, Mango +Greens, Pineapple, Acai & Cherry, etc, just read the ingredients-super healthy and great for a quick meal! I add protein to mine to make it well-balanced.

  • Buy Ranch Direct -- offers grass-fed & finished Beef, Bison, Pork, Lamb, Poultry, Rabbits and Yak. Their goal is providing you with the most delicious and nutritious meat from a source you can trust — from their ranch, to your table.

Pre-made Seasonings/Sauces/Dressings etc.

  • Paleo Powder - When you're in a rush and want some easy season all.

  • KC Naturals - AIP and Paleo "no-mato" pasta sauces, BBQ sauces, Ketchup etc.

  • Miss Jones Frosting -With a variety of pre-made baking necessities that are dairy/gluten/soy/nut FREE + Vegan, for that special occasion, give it a try! *Vanilla is delish!

  • Primal Palate -offering a large variety of organic, gluten-free, Paleo & AIP spices, seasoning packets and extracts, giving them a try is a no brainer!

  • Siete Tortillas -These coconut & cassava tortillas are so good I forget what the others taste like!

  • Siete Tortilla Chips -So tasty that I have converted many of my non-AIP friends!

On the Go/Travel/Snacks

  • Paleo On The Go - An amazing tasting meal delivery service that offers fresh/frozen pre-made AIP meals to you on the go. *This is my go-to when traveling or even when I am super busy at home. Easy to grab and thaw in the am for later that evening. Some of my favs are: Chicken empanadas, Lasagna, Shepards Pie, TO DIE FOR BROWNIES!, Mint carob cookies, bone broth, Pineapple chicken.

  • Sweet Apricity Caramels – 100% AIP-compliant caramels, caramel sauces & marshmallows! *Careful not to overindulge in sweets, just because its AIP doesn't mean sugar overloading is recommended.

  • Paleo Valley - They make the only beef sticks in the USA made from 100% grass fed/grass finished beef and organic spices that are naturally fermented. They also offer offal supps for those that can't fathom getting their servings of liver each week! *It's easy to see why they were voted as the one of the top snacks of 2018! They are delish!

  • PaleoValley- Pasture Raised Turkey Jerky

  • Jack's Paleo Kitchen -All of their cookies are grain-free, dairy-free, egg-free, free of any refined sugars, soy-free and non-GMO. *With AIP pre-made cookies, you know I jumped for joy when I tried these! The Lemon are BOMB! Cinnamon raison too!

  • Plantain Chips - I snack on these or crush them up and use as an AIP friendly breading on chicken!

  • Epic AIP Meat Bars -Delivers great taste in a convenient on the go package!

  • Sweet Potato Awesome -Freeze dried sweet potato chips & fries *Aip pack

  • Hot Box Mini -Perfect for on-the-go healthy eats! You can either preheat & keep warm in here or you can slowly heat through the day in time for lunch or dinner!
